Accounts and series permissions
Create an account, understand series staff assignments, and recover a closed account.
Create and verify an account
Anyone can create an account. Follow the email verification link before signing in. If you change your email in Account Settings, verify the new address before it replaces your old one. Guest participation through a series join code or event link remains available where your instructor allows it.
Creating an account does not move your guest conversation: ask your series instructor to link your guest enrollment to your account through the roster.
Lab Series permissions
A platform admin can grant permission to create independent lab series. The creator becomes the series owner.
Series owners manage series settings, labs, join codes, and staff assignments. Series staff can edit activities, publish labs, and facilitate live lab conversations.
You can monitor conversations, manage the roster, and run labs only in series where you are assigned as staff or owner. Being a platform administrator does not automatically give you access to participant conversations in instructor-run series.
If you need teaching access, ask the series owner to add your verified account as staff on the series settings page.
Close or recover an account
In Account Settings → Profile, enter your current password and choose Close Account. This disables your account and marks your records for recovery. It does not immediately erase participant work or account records.
Use Recover Account with your email and password within 30 days to restore access. Series that are still awaiting recovery return to you. A platform admin can also help restore an account within this period.
After the recovery period, automatic cleanup removes only unused abandoned series. Series with participant history and closed account records remain preserved. Public event conversation retention follows its separate 30-day retention schedule.
