Reviewing profile images
Screen participant profile images, flag an image, and understand what a flag changes.
Where profile images appear
Participants with accounts can add an AI-generated profile image. It appears beside their name in the account menu, in the conversations they take part in, on your live Monitor, and on the series Roster. Participants without an image show an initials avatar.
Automatic screening
Before any image is generated, Dialog Lab screens the description the participant wrote, or that was drafted from a photo. Descriptions that mention weapons, violence, drugs, hate, or sexual content are blocked, so those images are never created.
Flag an image
Screening can't catch everything, so you can also review images yourself:
- Open a series Roster.
- Next to a participant who has a profile image, select Flag Image.
- Choose a reason — Sexual content, Violence or weapons, Hate symbols or slurs, Illegal activity, or Other — add a short note, and submit.
Flagging is a review cue, not an automatic penalty. Keep the note factual and specific: the participant sees it.
What a flag does
- The flagged image can no longer be the participant's active avatar. If they were using it, Dialog Lab switches them to the initials avatar right away.
- The description used to create that image can't be used to generate another image until the participant changes it.
- The participant sees your note beneath the image in their account settings.
Review flagged images
Open Flagged Profile Images (linked from the Roster) to see every open flag with the image, the participant, the reason, your note, and who reported it. Select Resolve once you have reviewed it.
Limits and allowances
Profile images are limited to control AI cost:
- Participants: 5 generations every 30 days, keeping the 5 most recent images.
- Instructors and administrators: 20 generations every 30 days, keeping 20.
Participants can see their remaining allowance in Account settings.
